| About Lisa:
Lisa has been working in the fashion industry for over 10 years and has a serious passion for clothing and accessories. She has used her retail and fashion-education experience to help women of every shape and size realize and achieve their true style potential. In addition to running Guide Your Style, Lisa is also a member of Style For Hire, in which she has received training by What Not To Wear resident stylist, Stacy London. Lisa received a Masters in Fashion Promotion from Istituto Marangoni in London, UK. While studying abroad, she gained valuable insight into the heart of the fashion industry by working at London Fashion Week as a blog writer covering catwalk shows for Vauxhall Fashion Scout. While in London she also worked as a copywriter for fashion networking websiteNineteen74.comunder Creative Director, Raoul Keil, and was an article contributor for their inaugural issue of Schon Magazine. Before getting her Masters, Lisa spent several years growing through the ranks at Nordstrom (style and customer service at its best). It was there where she developed many lasting customer relationships and decided to take her passion for styling to the next level, and thus Guide Your Style was born. Before joining the ranks at Nordstrom, Lisa received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from East Carolina University. She is a regular fashion blog contributor and also moonlights as a freelance fashion journalist. She currently resides in Columbia, Maryland with her husband Paul and (very bad, but very cute) dachshund, Professor ‘Leon’ Barkington. |
